You may have heard of StepChange. They’re a UK debt charity helping people deal with their debt in a manageable way. With so many different companies out there offering similar services, you need to know that you’re in good hands. Let’s take a look at some StepChange reviews and how the charity can help you.
What Is StepChange?
StepChange is a UK based debt charity who offer people free, impartial debt advice. They offer a wide range of debt solutions, from debt relief orders (DRO) and bankruptcy to debt management plans (DMP) and individual voluntary arrangements (IVA). This makes sure that there is a solution for everyone, no matter what situation they find themselves in. They say that they’ve helped over 5 million people since 1993, with clients having repaid over £4 billion. StepChange says that every year, they help 650,000 people with their debt issues, resolving problems and rebuilding their lives.
There are loads of tools on the StepChange website which can help anyone with debt problems. They also push the idea that talking helps. Avoiding your debt doesn’t help. Getting a handle on things is the first step to step to getting out of debt.
As well as the words they put from clients on their own website, there are TrustPilot and FeeFo accounts for StepChange. The UK debt charity is rated 4.9 out of 5 on FeeFo based on 1,318 StepChange reviews in the last year. Over on TrustPoilot, they are ranked 4.7 out of 5 based on 390 StepChange reviews. Some of the five-star reviews include:
“I was seriously in debt and after contacting StepChange I was put completely at ease by the most helpful people I had ever come across. They helped me so much. I’m a much happier person now. I’m so grateful to them for being so kind to me.”
“They took a lot of worry away and everyone I spoke to was very helpful and kind, my mind was put at rest every time I phoned with a problem and would highly recommend them to anyone who is struggling.”
“StepChange is excellent. Don’t know what I’d have done without them and they’re advice and services. I would recommend it to anybody in a debt situation, they are friendly, helpful and not at all scary. Use them, is my advice.”
There Will Always Be Negatives
There are always going to be negatives when companies and charities are available to review online. Whilst these are also worth reading to get a balanced view, some of them are reviewed as one star by mistake and the company seems to always reply to these negative reviews asking to help further. They do seem on the ball and concerned about negative StepChange reviews.
At the end of the day though, they offer free and impartial help for those in debt. If you are in a situation where you need help, StepChange can hopefully help you. I think the following review sums things up.
“Got back my life.”
Whilst the help available might not work for 100% of people, it can really change and save lives.
