Knowing what to do with your hair in summer can be hard, most of the time you want a style that’s going to keep your hair away from your face (especially if it’s as hot as it’s been recently!) but still shows off a bit of your style and flair. Luckily for us, Cup of Daisies has just the thing to help, their silk scarves make for the perfect accessory to help you keep your hair tamed and looking beautiful this summer.
Let’s take a look at a few ways to wear them
French Plaits are a great way to keep your hair out of your face during summer, why not pretty them up by looping in a gorgeous scarf! YOu can do this one of two ways, you can do the plaits and thread the scarf through after or you can do as the model has in the photos and actually make the scarf part of the braid. To do this secure your french braid at the back of your head/nape of the neck and split the remaining hair into two pieces, wrap the scarf around the top of one section and then continue to braid the hair using the scarf as one of the 3 strands. Secure at the bottom and then pull the hair out slightly to make it more of a ‘bubble’ braid.
All of the things we tried out in the ’90s are back – those spikey zig zag hairband things, butterfly clips and Bandanas (let’s just hope the overly plucked eyebrows don’t come back into fashion!) To wear your scarf like this just fold it into a triangle with the V shape facing down, place it at the forehead and tie it behind your head – nice and simple!
To make a simple headscarf you fold it in the same way as a bandana but place it on your hairline instead of your forehead, pull the corners of the scarf underneath your hair and tie (don’t tie it too tight as it’ll just slip out). If you need help to keep it in place you can add kirby grips to secure the scarf to the hairline behind your ears or at your temples.
