I’m losing count of the weeks now, if it wasn’t for updating this header image each week I’d have no idea! Work confirmed on Friday that I’ll be off for at least another two weeks so I guess I’ll just keep plodding along like I have been.
Tuesday 26th May
I decided to do some houseplant and cutting tidying today. The Monstera cutting that I had rooted in hydroleca needed a bit of a sort out as one of the leave had died off and it’s roots were getting trapped. I’ve nearly converted all of my indoor plants to semi-hydro now and they are thriving.
Wednesday 27th May
After the semi-flooding incident last week we decided to move the pool onto the patio outside of the gym. I bought some foam flooring tiles to put underneath it and spent a good 45minutes trying to work out the best positioning so that the pool would sit fully on the flooring when it was full…turns out I was about 5cm off on my measuring (I was a bit worried about it sitting too close to the fence) but it’s not too big of an issue. It’s fully filled now and just keeping fingers crossed it doesn’t dump out a ton of water again and get my plants 😬
Thursday 28th May
Today was spent helping my sister at the BangOnBlanks unit/warehouse with a delivery of 7,000 water bottles that had originally mean to arrive in February! We worked from 7:30am until 3pm but we got them all offloaded, organised and repacked ready to send straight back out to customers.
Friday 29th May
Got an email from work today confirming that I’m on furlough for at least another two weeks so that’s made me even more determined to spend those 2 weeks getting lots of website work done (I’ve got a few new ones I’d like to launch!) I took some more cuttings of my Devils Ivy (Golden Pothos) plant as it’s shooting up again and I’d like to add some pots of it into different rooms in the house. These should take about a month to develop some roots and then they will go straight into hydroleca as a semi-hydro plant.
Saturday 30th May
I had a housework-y day today. I went through the kitchen cupboards and took an inventory of what we’ve got so that I can meal plan properly for next week – gave everything a wipe down, sweep, hoover and mop.
Sunday 31st May
This is probably the cleanest you’ll see my desk look for a very long time. I’ve had to make space for items that I have turning up which will be part of some new projects I’ll be starting work on next week (should have some posts up about them soon!) I’m so excited to start on them but I also need to try and tie up any ‘loose ends’ of other projects before I do which is quite difficult because I finish one thing and then remember something else that should have been done so it feels like a never-ending To Do list
Monday 1st June
Since tradespeople have been told they can go back to work (as long as they adhere to social distancing) my dad has been over the house today finishing off our downstairs loo (yes the same loo we ripped out around 9 months ago). I’ve been working from the computer in one room and we’ve been talking loudly between the rooms, I’ve been leaving coffee for him in the hallway and it’s just been lovely to have someone else to talk to properly in the house. Tiles have gone on the walls today and the toilet should be installed tomorrow. Can’t wait to have a functioning downstairs loo again!
I am also confused about the days weeks!!! Its crazy, lost so much track of time and these last few days are super long!
